Location was fine for us - it suited our purpose, Breakfast was excellent
Hotel itself really needs an urgent facelift. No Bar to have a drink in the lounge. beds really uncomfortable. would recommend but honestly about it being "no frills"
Hotel more than happy for us to park our car in their free car park at 11am even though we were staying one night. Very useful as I was able to have a drink at a lunch time party we were attending. The breakfast is very good, and whilst some of the bedrooms might be a little tired the hotel is extremely good value for money, especially as the staff are all extremely good. This was our second visit this year.
Staff were very friendly and the service excellent, food was lovely and in all was a lovely weekend so thanks.
Hotel was clean, bed comfy and adequate facilities. Breakfast was lovely and staff were pleasant especially the Reception staff. Would definately stay again.
Distance into town.
Very little, good location for centre
Unclean, stains throughout htel carpets, bathroom just clean grouting etc in a terrible state
Friendly staff, good value for money could do with redecorating in the rooms. Dining room area nice with friendly staff
Staff were pleasant and welcoming, breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice, room was clean but basic, there is off-road parking available (but a bit tight), we've stayed there before and will do again, it is in an ideal location for us and Glasgow is such a friendly vibrant city with absolutely loads to do!
Bathroom was clean, but the bath had mould on the grout and around the edges, hairdrier didn't work, curtains needed an overhaul.
Cheap & Cheerfull,
Problems with :- curtains, safe, wifi, bed as hard as nails, bathroom very poor decoration - stains & sealant issues. Cuboards & drawers falling to pieces or coming apart. Hotel looks smart from the front but go to the back to park if you can !!!, and the rear of the premises looks more akin to slum area. Best describied as all show & no Knickers.
The room was clean and comfortable the facilities were good the hotel is a bit dated in some respects but very much value for money I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends
Having read some other reviews, I am was apprehensive about my short stay at the Devoncove Hotel, but I need not have worried. From the moment I arrived until I walked out the exit after checking out, my experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and cheerful throughout the stay, and I would recommend the Devoncove Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to use as a base to explore the city and surrounds, at a price that doesn't hurt your pocket.
Size of bedroom was excellent - lift was good - breakfast was good and pleasantly and quickly served. Being close to the magnificent Kelvingrove museum, Hunter art gallery and mackintosh house plus kelvingrove park was a great asset. Hotel was smart and clean. I would certainly go again if I were ever in glasgow
Nothing was bad within the hotel. I suppose it was a bit of a walk to the city centre but once I found Exhibition station this was not a problem.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and price was very reasonable.
For the price I paid - £29 - the Devoncove was excellent value for money. It was clean, the staff were nice, breakfast was pretty good and so were the facilities. I had a comfortable stay.
The decor was a bit tired, but for a budget hotel, what do you expect?
Staff were very nice
Lock on my room door didn't work so had to constantly get a member of staff to let me into the room. It wasn't a problem but think it would've been annoying if |i was staying for longer
Near to city shops on bus route.Hotel allows dogs great for us.Good car park.Breakfast was very nice.Clean room good bed.
